AI Realm
An AI tabletop platform built on 5e rules, ready to play anytime

Tool details
AI Realm brings D&D 5e into a chat window: an AI Dungeon Master that is online 24 hours a day runs the session for you, with no need to round up players or arrange a schedule. It does not build its own foundation models; what it builds is the rules layer, the character sheets and the memory architecture.
Core capabilities
- Instant sessions: make a character under the 5e SRD (12 classes / 9 races) and play right away; dice rolls, checks and initiative are computed in code, and the model only narrates
- Multi-model aggregation: DeepSeek-V3.2 by default, switchable to Gemini, Grok-4, GPT-6, Claude 5.5 or Qwen; images run on Google's Gemini line, voice uses ElevenLabs
- Notes memory management: the AI updates hit points and quests automatically and writes a campaign summary roughly every 8 messages; character sheets offer clickable 3D dice
- GM Guide and NPC cards: write a 30,000-character 'battle manual for the AI'; NPC cards carry portraits and can be toggled off to save context
- Built-in image and voice generation: scene snapshots, character portraits and custom GM voice, plus four free music sets
- World pack ecosystem: creators can publish custom worlds and portraits, and Visual Novel mode ships with 1,000+ free backgrounds
Who it suits Best for people who already know 5e, want to play solo or with a small group, and play in fragments of spare time; it also works as an RP practice ground before joining a real table. The free tier and Bronze are solo only, though, so playing with friends starts at Platinum ($14.99).
Unique advantages Its $7.99 entry price sits below Friends & Fables ($19.95) and the AI Dungeon web version ($14.99); the combination of a 5e sheet, code-driven dice, built-in portraits and the ability to install it to your home screen is not matched in completeness by anything else in the category.
Editorial verdict Memory is a hard ceiling, not a fixable bug: the official roadmap admits the AI cannot remember long campaigns, the V2 guide advises players to keep a separate copy of their character record, and user tests report quality dropping after a recap with dead NPCs coming back to life. Rules enforcement slips too: tests show a player's Strength modifier being added to enemy damage, a roll of 1 not triggering a critical failure, and no battle grid at all. Start on Free or the $7.99 Bronze, confirm the feel, then move up to Platinum to unlock multiplayer; for short solo play on a budget, there is no sturdier option at this price.

Additional notes
5 tiers (Free plus 4 monthly subscription tiers). There is no standalone official pricing page: the price table is embedded as an image in the V2 guide at /home/v2Guide. The official terms keep anti-abuse fair-use limits on 'unlimited messages'; premium models are billed in premium message counts (for example, a single Gemini 2.5 Pro request deducts 4 premium messages). Quotas do not roll over by renewal date; Platinum and above keep full chat history for 9 months. Linking Discord grants a one-time bonus of 30 messages.
