Tool details

AIHOT is a Chinese-native AI news aggregation site built by the indie developer Zhang Renjie (known online as Digital Life Kazik). It uses AI to filter the noise out of a huge pool of sources and hand you one curated digest every day. Completely free and account-free, it is a low-friction entry point for Chinese readers tracking the AI scene.

Core capabilities

  • Multi-source aggregation: collects from 865 sources across X, RSS, web pages, WeChat official accounts and APIs; active sources are re-checked roughly every 15 minutes
  • AI five-dimension scoring: models score relevance, information gain and influence, then code composites the scores into a 0–100 quality grade with a Chinese summary and a reason for recommending it
  • Daily, weekly and monthly digests: a zero-LLM-stitching digest lands at 08:00 every day, plus a weekly on Mondays and a monthly on the 1st
  • Trending-events radar: events covered by 2 or more independent sources within 48 hours enter the board automatically
  • Four agent access paths: Skill, MCP, RSS and REST API, all anonymous read-only with no API key
  • Model-board consensus scores: aggregates 9 benchmark boards from 7 sources into one high-confidence consensus score

Best-fit scenarios For practitioners, developers, content creators and investors who want to grasp the big AI stories in 5–30 minutes a day — and for feeding "industry awareness" into agents like Claude Code or Codex.

What sets it apart It bundles four things into one: Chinese-native rewriting, AI auto-scoring, tiered source grading (T1/T1.5/T2) and an agent ecosystem. Whereas Particle News keeps a paid tier and Feedly/Inoreader charge for premium features, AIHOT's base layer is free forever — and it has almost no direct competitor in the Chinese-language AI vertical.

Editorial verdict Free, MIT-licensed open source and four agent access paths, on top of a million-level MAU, make it a rare high-polish entry point for Chinese AI news. Caveats worth noting: the content is third-party aggregated, with real copyright and compliance exposure; third parties already resell its data (for example aihot-mcp Pro at ¥70/year); and a one-person team raises sustainability questions.
