APIKO AI API
OpenAI-compatible multi-model API aggregation gateway

Tool details
APIKO is an OpenAI-compatible multi-model API aggregation gateway: one sk- key and one USD balance are enough to call text, image and video models from 10 providers. It does not build its own models; it just funnels upstream capabilities into a single base_url.
Core capabilities
- One compatible entry point: just switch base_url to api.apiko.app/v1 — the official SDKs, LangChain, LlamaIndex and plain HTTP all work without code changes
- 55 models from 10 providers: openai 13, anthropic 12, google 10, Alibaba 7, ByteDance 3, Zhipu 3, deepseek 2, xai 2, moonshot 2, Kuaishou 1; the on-site counter shows 51 while the catalog API actually holds 55
- Three modalities under one auth scheme: /v1/chat/completions, /v1/responses and /v1/messages handle text, /v1/images/generations and /v1/videos handle image and video, and all of them were verified as mounted
- Live pricing and availability: model pages publish the official price, the site price and the discount rate, while the status page refreshes real success rates every 5 minutes
- No charge for failures: requests are pre-authorized first and settled by actual usage at the end, and upstream errors are automatically refunded to the balance
Where it fits Individual developers can compare Claude, GPT and Gemini side by side with one key; Claude Code and Codex CLI users can cut costs by swapping base_url; developers in mainland China who can only pay with Alipay can still top up. It is not a fit for enterprise procurement that needs an SLA, invoices and compliance audits.
Distinctive strengths Most reseller gateways hand you nothing but a multiplier table; APIKO lays out the official price, the site price and the real 24-hour success rate side by side, and it even spells out that it appears in its own comparison list. Prices run at roughly 0.10x–0.88x of official: cheaper options exist, but few are this transparent.
Editorial verdict Documentation is the strong point: llms.txt spells out billing, rate limits, the 100-second timeout that still bills, and whether thinking tokens count, and spot-checked prices match the vendor sites. The positioning is "a multi-model entry point for small experiments and non-critical paths" — top up $10 first, push a round of real traffic through it, and only then decide how much production traffic to send.
