Coze Space
Officially listedA general-purpose AI Agent platform from ByteDance for collaborative work and complex task execution.
Coze Space
Coze Space is a general-purpose AI Agent development and collaborative work platform launched by ByteDance in April 2025. Positioned as an "AI office assistant," it focuses on using intelligent agent technology to help users handle complex tasks efficiently. Unlike the Coze AI bot development platform, Coze Space works more like an actual workspace for AI agents, providing a complete intelligent pipeline from task analysis to execution.
Key features
- Intelligent task decomposition: Automatically analyzes user needs, breaks complex tasks into subtasks, and calls tools such as a browser and code editor to execute them autonomously
- Dual collaboration modes: Offers Exploration mode (fast autonomous AI responses, suited to time-sensitive tasks) and Planning mode (deep AI thinking and execution, suited to highly complex projects)
- Expert agent ecosystem: The platform ships with multiple domain-specific bots, such as a Huatai A-share market watcher for stock analysis and a user research expert capable of survey data analysis and interview note summarization
- MCP tool integration: First-batch official support for MCP extensions including Feishu Base, Amap, image tools, and speech synthesis, deeply integrated with ByteDance's Feishu (Lark) ecosystem
- Multi-tool orchestration: Integrates third-party tools such as Moji Weather and GitHub, supporting complex cross-platform task automation
Use cases For information gathering, users can have an agent automatically collect industry reports and generate summaries; for trip planning, an agent can call map tools to plan routes and produce a full itinerary; in game development, it can assist with requirements analysis and code generation. The tool is especially suited to complex office tasks that require multi-step collaboration and multiple tool calls.
Unique strengths Coze Space's core competitiveness lies in its general-purpose agent capabilities and deep integration with the ByteDance ecosystem. Powered by the Doubao 1.5 model, it supports stronger tool-calling capabilities than standard bots. Compared with peers such as Manus in China and abroad, reviews show it performs well in task planning and visualization, though instruction-following accuracy and output stability still have room for improvement. The product is currently in beta and requires an invitation code to access.
