Final Round AI
An AI interview assistant for real-time assistance and mock practice

Tool details
Final Round AI is an AI interview assistant founded in 2023 in Delaware, USA; its flagship feature is Interview CoPilot™, and the company calls itself the creator and leader of this category. The product bundles 'prepare — perform — review' into one desktop app, aimed at mid- and senior-level job seekers who already have interviews lined up and at non-native English speakers.
What it is The operating entity is Pump Labs Inc. (dba Final Round AI); the founders are Michael Guan and Jay Ma; it closed a $6.88M seed round in 2025-01 (January), led by Uncork Capital.
Core capabilities
- Live interview assistance: it listens to real calls and streams suggested answers in a private overlay, covering behavioural, coding, system design and case questions; the company says first-answer latency is about 1–1.5 seconds.
- AI mock interviews: 8 scenario types including General/Coding/System Design/Behavioral, with structured feedback at the end (desktop app only).
- Automatic debrief and screen help: when a session ends it generates a full transcript, a score and speech-clarity feedback; it can read the question on screen and give a written solution.
- Job-search toolkit: resume optimisation, cover letter generation, auto-apply (AI Job Hunter, a separate subscription) and a 10,000+ question bank.
How to use it Download the desktop app (macOS 14.4+ / Windows); after the four-step onboarding you can go into an interview; the company recommends practising with Mock first. Stealth mode is on by default.
Who it is for It suits job seekers who already have real interviews lined up and whose main need is structured practice plus post-interview review; it is not for budget-conscious users, for roles assessed on proctored platforms, or for anyone whose employer or school explicitly bans AI.
Pricing and limits The Free tier is $0 and only includes preparation features; paid tiers run from Monthly $150/mo, Quarterly $83.33/mo and Yearly $25/mo up to Premium MAX $41.67/mo. The official checkout page and the pricing blog contradict each other; treat the checkout page as authoritative.
Risks and caveats The website claims 100% invisible / 100% undetectable, but the anti-cheat vendors Talview and Sherlock AI have published named detection methods, and several users report the overlay showing up during screen sharing and the app freezing mid-interview; in many countries this is treated as interview cheating or fraud, so there are academic-integrity and professional-compliance risks. The privacy policy allows interview transcripts, questions, answers and resumes to be used to train models, lists no retention period and offers no training opt-out. Refunds are a 72-hour, once-per-customer window and monthly payments are non-refundable; 'substantial use' (≥2 sessions in a single billing cycle, each >30 minutes) voids eligibility. Of roughly 250–270 Trustpilot reviews, about 17–18% are 1-star and concentrate on billing/refund disputes (that exact percentage comes from a competitor-affiliated blog and should be discounted). The Terms name Pump Labs Inc. while the refund page says Final Round AI Inc. — the entity name is inconsistent.

Additional notes
The official checkout page is the current selling baseline. The official pricing blog (which calls itself the source of truth) instead lists Annual $25/mo, Quarterly $60/mo and Monthly $90/mo and claims there is no Premium MAX tier, contradicting the checkout page, so this internal inconsistency is disclosed as-is. After signing in there is also a limited-time discount of about 8% (roughly $138/$76.67/$23/$38.33). AI Job Hunter auto-apply is a separate add-on subscription (about $74.99/mo). Stripe refunds deduct a non-refundable processing fee. Historical and third-party quotes range from $25 to $150; only the checkout page can be treated as accurate.
