Tool details

Instinct is an AI-native autonomous personal assistant built by Spear Street Technology (d/b/a Instinct): it has no new interface, so you simply text, WhatsApp or call it to hand off a task, and it gets things done for you using "its own phone and computer." It can handle everyday errands, and it can also be pulled into a group chat to serve an entire group.

Core capabilities

  • Zero-new-interface interaction: Send instructions via iMessage/WhatsApp/SMS/phone/email, with no app to install and no prompts to learn
  • Cross-app autonomous execution: Order groceries, book doctor's appointments, rebook flights, cancel subscriptions and dispute unfair bills for the user
  • Concierge phone service: Call restaurants that offer no online booking, join waiting lists and handle billing disputes
  • Independent identity and payments: Every Instinct has its own email address, can pay via Stripe Link and share credentials through 1Password
  • Trust and collaboration infrastructure: Trusted Person Network lets agents of different users coordinate plans with one another, and group chats support friends who have not signed up
  • Privacy and security mechanisms: Isolated sandboxes, short-lived local credentials and identity-signed tool execution; Vault credential contents are not used for training

Best-fit scenarios Suited to individual users whose personal life admin is heavy (travel, appointments, subscription management, billing disputes, family coordination) and who are willing to grant broad permissions, especially early adopters who prefer zero friction and getting things done inside the messaging channels they already use. Not suited to office scenarios that need enterprise-grade compliance, auditability or a read-only mode.

Unique advantages Compared with the office-oriented ChatGPT Dots and the Meta-ecosystem-bound Muse, Instinct's moat is not the model itself but context, permissions and execution completeness. Third-party reviews broadly credit its ability to see real-world tasks through from start to finish, even though the product is still in beta with thin public documentation.

Editorial take In the new consumer personal-agent category, Instinct sits in the leading group thanks to its interface-free form factor and execution ability. But invitation-only access with no self-service signup, no public pricing, privacy-clause controversy and the reliability of autonomous behaviour remain material risks. Our advice is "worth watching, adopt with caution": after connecting, start with a low-limit card, turn off data training, and keep human review on high-value actions.

Pricing

Freemium$0 (Invite-only beta)
Free (Invite-only beta)
$0

Currently free during invite-only beta; no public paid plans or pricing page yet. Terms pre-announce 'Paid services' and reserve the right to change pricing at any time.

Additional notes

Not a commitment to a permanently free tier: the company has never promised permanent free access, and it is free only during the invite-only beta. In a podcast the founder mentioned a personal goal of free access for life, but no formal commitment or written term backs it up. There is also no public pricing page on the official site (instinct.com/pricing is just an app shell, not a pricing page).

FAQ

It is currently in invite-only beta, and invited users can use all features for free ($0). The official site has no public pricing page, and the company has not promised permanent free access; the terms already reserve the right to charge and to change prices in the future.
