Tool details

Mesh (formerly Clay, moved from clay.earth to me.sh in 2026) is a personal CRM under Automattic, built around the idea "Every relationship, remembered." It automatically gathers and continuously enriches email, calendar and social contacts, and is made for professionals who live on their network; it has nothing to do with the company of the same name, Clay (clay.com, a GTM sales enrichment platform).

Core capabilities

  • Passive automatic enrichment: once email/calendar/social accounts are connected it builds and updates profiles on its own; third-party testing shows it fills in roughly 80% of common fields
  • Nexus AI: natural-language queries of your network (e.g. "who do I know at Stripe"), contact summaries and follow-up suggestions, currently in early access
  • Relationship reminders: computes relationship cooling and reconnect cooldowns from interaction frequency, alongside birthday reminders
  • Life updates: automatically captures job changes, relocations and news mentions
  • Team-shared rolodex: see who knows whom and get warm intros, with control over email/calendar visibility
  • All platforms: macOS/Windows/Web/iOS/iPadOS/visionOS, with Android added in 2026-08

Who it is for A fit for founders, investors/VCs, recruiters, consultants and executives who live in the Apple ecosystem, work mainly on desktop and have a high-density network, plus small teams of ≤4. If you need a sales pipeline, or care deeply about data portability, it is not a great match.

What sets it apart Compared with Dex (LinkedIn-centric), Monica (private, self-hostable) and folk (team outreach), Mesh stands out for passive automatic enrichment + relationship cooling alerts + Nexus AI; the team edition explicitly does not do sales pipelines.

Editorial take Reviews are polarized: there are identifiable clusters of complaints (card-on-file and refund friction, syncing and Nexus stability, permissions and privacy, weak organization), but also sizable positive samples (App Store 4.40/5 from about 760 reviews, Product Hunt 4.2/5). Trustpilot has only 8 reviews and cannot be extrapolated, and G2/Capterra have no standalone personal CRM page. Automatic enrichment is the real thing, but billing trust and maturity are things to check before buying.

FAQ

Mesh offers a free Personal tier ($0, up to 1,000 contacts), but it requires a credit card, a friction point repeatedly called out in user feedback across platforms. Paid plans start at Pro $10/month (billed annually), and there is also a 14-day free Pro trial (which likewise requires card details).
