Tabbit 1.0: Meituan's AI-Native Browser
Meituan's Tabbit 1.0 official release is here, with built-in Agent capabilities for web automation, Trick workflows, and intelligent agents. The Standard edition is free forever and can call Chinese frontier models like DeepSeek-V4-Pro and Kimi-K2.6.
Tabbit, the AI-native browser from Meituan's GN06 team, has shipped its 1.0 official release. Rather than bolting an AI chat box onto a traditional browser, it was redesigned from day one around AI capability: built-in chat, Trick workflows, intelligent agents, and script-based page remodeling. The Standard edition is free forever.
What Is Tabbit
Tabbit is an AI-native browser that embeds AI into the entire process of browsing the web. A traditional browser shows you whatever you click open; Tabbit uses its built-in LLMs to actively help you understand page content, organize information, and complete operations.
In short: it turns the browser from an information display window into an AI workstation that gets work done on its own.
Core Features
Tricks: turning one-off chats into reusable workflows
Tricks are Tabbit's signature feature, distilling one-off AI conversations into automated flows you can invoke again and again. Type / in the chat box to bring one up quickly. Tricks come in three types:
Prompt tricks: save frequently used AI instructions. For example, create a "HuggingFace daily hot papers explainer" trick, then invoke it with one click whenever you open a paper page.

Agent tricks: save complete Agent task flows. For example, create a "top-conference hot topics crawler" trick, and from then on you can reuse it on any top conference, NeurIPS or ICML included.

Script tricks: turn page-remodeling requests into executable scripts. Examples: add a Chinese speed-reading layer to Reddit threads, switch Hacker News to dark mode, turn X posts into card format.
The point of script tricks: things that used to require installing an extension now take nothing more than telling the AI what effect you want.
Agent capabilities
The 1.0 Agent upgrades from pure web operations (clicking, filling forms) to general-purpose task handling. Combining web pages, files, spreadsheets, PPT templates, and other context, it can handle complex jobs like information organizing, document generation, and content delivery.
Pricing
| Edition | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Free forever | About 1000 chats/week, 50 image generations/week, 10 Agent tasks/week, with access to top Chinese LLMs |
| Pro | ¥9.9/week | Higher usage limits, built for heavy users |
Models the Standard edition can call for free include MiniMax-M3, DeepSeek-V4-Pro, Kimi-K2.6, and more.
Platform Support
- macOS / Windows desktop (rollout starts this week)
- iOS / Android mobile (early beta; some features are still being polished)
Download and Setup
Head to tabbit.com to download the desktop or mobile version. Once installed, every Standard edition feature is free to use.
Tip: Start with the "Tricks" feature. Find the most repetitive browser task in your daily routine and save it as a Trick — that's the fastest way to feel the difference between Tabbit and a traditional browser.
