Curipod
K-12 Interactive Classroom & AI Writing Feedback Platform

Tool details
Curipod is a K-12 AI classroom platform built by a Norwegian team, and it has evolved from an "AI interactive slide generator" into a "teacher-led writing practice + instant AI feedback + state test prep" platform. It deliberately does not give students an AI chatbot — all AI output stays under teacher control — and it targets US K-12 teachers, schools and districts.
Core capabilities
- Full-lesson AI generation: enter a topic, grade level and subject, and get a complete lesson with explanations and interactive activities in about 30 seconds to 1 minute
- Instant writing feedback (Glow & Grow): students get actionable feedback within seconds of submitting a short response, with support for RAG/RACE/RACES, C.E.R. and custom rubrics
- Classroom interaction components: polls, word clouds, open-ended questions, drawing, peer voting, exit tickets; students join with a join code and need no account
- State test and curriculum alignment: covers state test writing prep for grades 3–12 across 50 US states, mapped to 55+ mainstream ELA curricula and CCSS/TEKS
- Bilingual/ESL/ELL: bilingual writing practice aligned to TELPAS, ELPAC and WIDA ACCESS
- Compliance and integrations: states FERPA/COPPA/SOPPA/GDPR compliance, SSO with ClassLink, Clever and Google, and no student accounts
Where it fits US K-12 teachers, schools and districts (especially in ELA/literacy), suited to classrooms with 1:1 devices that value whole-class interaction and formative assessment and want AI-native writing feedback and state test prep. Fit is lower for non-US assessment systems or when the main need is lesson plan/document generation.
Distinctive strengths Compared with Nearpod, Pear Deck and Kahoot!, Curipod stands out for AI-generated full lessons + instant writing feedback + state test/curriculum alignment; its conversational philosophy is the opposite of the student-facing AI product SchoolAI — it explicitly does not build a student chatbot and insists on teacher leadership.
Editorial assessment Its pedagogy and compliance/privacy differentiation are clear, making it a good fit for US K-12 districts. However, publicly verifiable third-party reputation samples are severely lacking (only 2 reviews on G2 and 13 on Capterra), and all effect data is vendor-reported; pricing is opaque, the free tier allows only 2 lesson sessions per week, and the ecosystem is closed and strongly regional. Rating: 4/5.
