Baidu Miaoda 3.0 + DuMate, Tested: A One-Person AI Company
An in-depth hands-on test of Baidu's Miaoda 3.0 and DuMate: from building a pet feeding platform with zero code to automating customer service, marketing, and data analysis -- running a one-person company's full business workflow.
Baidu recently upgraded two AI tools: Miaoda 3.0 (a zero-code app building platform) and DuMate (a multi-agent office assistant). We put them to a real test: could they run the entire business workflow of a "one-person company" -- from building the product to handling customer service, operations, data analysis, and marketing planning?
The verdict: for solo founders who have a clear business scenario but no technical team, this combination of tools genuinely lowers the barrier to starting a business.
Miaoda 3.0: One Sentence Yields a Complete App with a Backend
Miaoda 3.0's core capability is converting natural language descriptions directly into runnable applications -- and not just the front-end interface: backend logic, database, user management, and more are generated along with it.
Hands-On: Building a Door-to-Door Pet Feeding Platform
We dropped a requirement description into Miaoda's chat box: "Build a door-to-door pet feeding platform where people who need help post orders and people willing to take them provide the service." Both Miaoda's response speed and completeness exceeded expectations.
- Automatic requirement completion: Miaoda not only generated the basic skeleton of an "owner side, feeder side, and order plaza", it also auto-completed easily overlooked transaction details such as payment rules and a credit-rating mechanism
- Full UI + backend generated in one click: front-end interface and backend logic are output in sync, with data table management, user management, key management and other modules immediately visible in the admin console

- Bug fixes in natural language: when testing hit a username login failure and a database write error, we simply reported the problem in natural language, and Miaoda automatically located and fixed the logic error in the routing stack rollback
- UI edits via annotated screenshots: for anything we disliked in the interface, we took a screenshot, circled the problem, and sent it to Miaoda, which redraws it in real time based on the screenshot

The resulting app can be exported directly as installation packages for both iOS and Android. Not one line of code is needed along the way.
DuMate: One Person Operating at a Hundred-Person Team's Efficiency
Once the product exists, the real challenge for a "one-person company" is operations. That is the problem DuMate solves -- it can handle customer service, operations, data analysis, and marketing planning at the same time.

Handling customer complaints
We gave DuMate a complaint email about an automatic feeder jamming on kibble. It generated a reply draft right inside the mailbox interface and offered three compensation plans in one go: full refund + apology, free replacement + extended warranty, and refund + large coupon. Throughout, it kept confirming details instead of firing off a "one-click reply".

Data analysis
Throw sales dailies, monthly summaries, inventory management, and profit analysis spreadsheets at it together, and DuMate automatically cleans the data and produces inventory and stocking recommendations -- which SKUs are running low and need restocking, which items need a higher safety stock, and which purchases can wait.

Marketing planning
Asked to create a 618 marketing plan around the store's main business, DuMate automatically split it into phases (warm-up, opening sale, livestream selling, community marketing, encore), down to flash-sale timing, spend-and-save rules, Zhitongche ad budgets, and placement time slots. The final output is a Word document, ready to edit and use.

The Underlying Capabilities of the Two Tools
Miaoda 3.0 automatically invokes mature Skills (capability modules) during development -- the login module, for instance, directly calls the official "Login" skill and supports phone number, email, WeChat, and other sign-in methods. The enterprise edition adds three-tier permission management, multi-team resource isolation, and content safety checks.
DuMate is built around a Harness engine coordination mechanism. On long-chain tasks, the engine continuously verifies task state to keep the AI from drifting into hallucinations or crashing mid-task. It can also distill proven, fixed workflows into personal Skills. DuMate currently tops both the PinchBench and DeepResearch Bench agent leaderboards.
Use Cases
- Solo founders with a clear business idea but no technical team
- Product managers who need to validate product concepts fast
- E-commerce practitioners who want one person to handle customer service, operations, data analysis, and marketing
- SMB teams that want to lower the barrier to using technical tools
